By choosing to learn at Cork Institute of French, students benefit from a result focussed program designed by our team of experienced and qualified native French teachers.
Here at the Institute we specialise in Leaving Certificate, 5th Year, and Junior Certificate exam preparation and in our courses we work closely with our students to help them achieve top marks in their exams.

Our students say that the most beneficial aspect of our courses is the fact that they are being taught French, through French, by a French Native. This total immersion method provides students with invaluable familiarity with the language and accent. Our students find the Aural & Oral exams much less of a challenge as they are accustomed to conversing with a French speaker on a weekly basis. As the Aural & the Oral account for 45% of the paper, it is not hard to see why our students continually get high grades.

All our lessons are planned and organised to ensure that classes are run smoothly and efficiently. At Cork Institute of French we strictly follow the Leaving Certificate Curriculum. All students receive excellent, comprehensive and up-to-date handouts which have been carefully prepared by our Leaving Certificate teacher who is a qualified teacher and the author of a critically acclaimed Leaving Certificate French Language textbook.

Our tuition programmes help give students the confidence as well as the skills they need to maximise their grades. We pride ourselves in giving individual attention to each and every student as it can be difficult for every student to get the teacher’s attention in the typical situation of forty-minute lessons with thirty-students in the class. Our one-and-a-half-hour weekly classes never have more than 6 to 8 students at a time, so the focus is on individual attention.
Students should expect a lot of practice, regular written assignments, and precise feedback on what examiners are looking for. This will build their expertise, give them a real feeling of progress and most importantly of all, build their confidence.
